Mine is being aggressive to my cardinal & firefish in the 20G at work. I am thinking of reintroducing him after I catch him to mellow him out, or I can remove my cardinal & firefish to take to my 40G at home & add a damsel with the clown.

How is the best way to catch your clown?

How do damsels & clowns do together?

Clownfish are a member of the damsel family that is why some can be aggressive. A twenty gallon is small and if there isn't enough rock your going to have territory issues. I would rearrange the rockwork first and see if that works. Also some have had success with mirrors or pictures of other clowns taped to the glass to give the clown something else to focus on. Hope this helps.;)

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
If I can I try to catch my fish when they are sleeping or right when the lighting first comes on.

If this is the only clown than him is probably a her.

You can try changing some of the scape around to establish new territories.

Anyone guess how they might get along. My clowns bullied my damsel to the point he jumped out of the tank when I opened the lid to feed. He now lives in the sump.

try turning the lights off for a day or two, that usually helps me, or rearrange the rockwork a bit

I rearranged & left it dark last weekend. But that picture idea seems so simple it could just work. I'll try that tomorrow. Thanks!

I agree the tank has gotten smaller for the clowny with her mates. that's why I was considering something small that could tolerate her.

    Its an Ocellaris

    LOL
You know deep down, I should have figured it was a her, and not just because she is bossy & controlling, but because I remember studying it.
