Bought 2 clown fish today and acclimate it for almost 1 hour before transfering to the tank (55 gallon). They are the first in my tank as I wanted to start slow and making sure they are ok. They were very active when I put them this afternoon. Tonight I came home and they were swimming a little less active, is this normal ? They used to swim together but now they are apart and one of them is sorta in one place just swimming slow. Is this normal ?

they're probably sleeping. Search for "clown fish +weird" on here and you'll find my posts and dozens of others wondering if our clowns are broken... they're not...they're just strange. They are clowns, after all.

I still think mine are up to no good...acting strange only when I'm around... but they're healthy.

When I'm not around they're on my computer plotting my demise.

clownfish are like the ragdolls of the fish variety so if they are still swimming in one spot on their side it is often them sleeping. but your first point of attack is to check your water parameters then keep watching them.

Thanks for your replies guys .. I think they were sleeping or maybe less active when I turned off their lights. They seem to be swimming fine now.
