I bought two Clown Gobies today at the LFS. Don't get me wrong, I did my research, but my LFS said the more I have the happier they'll be. Could I get one or two more or get a pair of Green Clown Gobies and have them coincide in a 90?

Clown Gobies actually are best as a single specimen, unless you have a pair since they will often fight same species due to aggression.
Having a large tank with suitable and numerous places to call their own may help but again boisterous nature towards their own kind may pose a problem down the road.

It seems that they are a pair. They have hardly left each other's sides since they came and they have been calmly sharing a tree leather and a toadstool going back and forth between them.

Well, at this point im just hoping that I have enough space in my tank to accommodate both. Im planning on getting 2 or 3 more tree leathers to hold them and there are all sorts of other corals for them to investigate. Time will tell what will happen.

When it is said that they are best as a single specimen, do you mean only one clown goby or only one yellow clown goby. Could yellow and green live together?

You said you had a 90 gallon, wouldnt that be more than enough space to hold a couple clown gobies, all the ones I have seen are really small. You would think that even if they didnt get along they could stay at opposites ends of the tanks and not even notice eachother

Thats my thougt. Especially a 90 with so much LR and coral. Even bigger fish like clownfish will live on opposite ends of the tank.

Hey! Clown Gobies (Yellow/Green/Panda) are probably the best nano-compatible fish! I keep a pair in 45 gal. cube, and they are doing great! :) They love branching corals, both stony and soft!

Yea they are pretty sweet. I had a yellow one and a green one in my nano a long time ago. The yellow was a lot smaller than the green one.
