I am going to order some new fish and corals from Blue zoo. i want a pair of Black and White clowns. i seen a disclaimer on there page that some of there clowns have an orange face. Well i didn't want that so i called them.

It was explained to me by there aquatics expert that the orange face is a sign of age and that the younger bred fish have the orange face but as they nature and get older they will go to a full black face and the orange will go away.

Black & White Ocellaris Clownfish - Tank Raised - Amphiprion ocellaris

Yes you're right, some will have the orange face and will become fully BW as they get older. I may be getting a tank-raised BW Ocellaris to add to my tank soon, they are beautiful fish, good luck.

Yes, young black and whites have some orange on them (head usually). That will fade as they age.
