Hello, ok i came home today and i went up to my room to feed my tanks, i fed the 55 gal reef and everyone is happy. i walk over to my clowns and i can see 1, the tank is low so i cant see the other one...i go over and hes leaning up against the water intake at the top of the nano cube...i get my scraper ( soft part) and knock him off, i then put food in the tank and he looks fine, hes eating swimming, no clamped fins...no nothing...anyone know why this might be? the 2 clowns fight because i think they r still trying to see who is dominent...also since the power outage the anemone has been moving alot and its kinda recovering from a hurting period...any thought?...it was weird it looks completly lifeless and then i knocked him and fed...its odd.

he seems to have a little twitch sometimes...but over all he seems ok...im not sure if this might have done anything but the water was kinda low...i did not know this cuz i forgot the nano has a sort of sump in the back...well i put some water in and am watching him...idk the other clown is very agressive toward him and realy almost never lets him in the anemone...im thinking of moving him the the 55 gal...that way he can live and either my giant colt coral or another branching coral...ill post if i have any news

    Bruce,
When I first introduced fish to my tank I put in 4 clowns all at the same time and they did exactly what you are saying. I had 1 that was very dominant right off the bat and the other 3 hung out behind my overflows for almost a week and it worried me too. I foolishly took the screen off my overflow that protect things from getting sucked in and one of my clowns got sucked in and was stuck in the C tube. He eventually died because I think he was damaged just too much. However the other 3 finally calmed down and all is fine now and they are happy.

I would say your scenerio is normal and time will fix everything.

    I care Bruce! :)

I had a similar situation to the latter part of your story. However, I only had one clown in my 12 gl nano. He dissappeared which surprised me because he was the healthiest of the 3 fish in there. I assumed he died and the crabs ate him. He was missing for several days and then I did a water change. Guess who came popping up to the top in the sump. You got it!  Just like yours. So of course I was hollering out I found Nemo [smiley=biggrinbounce.gif], I found Nemo!  I'm glad you found your Nemo too I know it made me very happy.
