Put the net under the plumbing in the sump and pull the drain pipe out.

Unplug........go to the grocery store and buy a bunch of white rice. (It will absorb the moisture.....don't plug them in for days).

Google fixing cellphones that got wet with rice. https://www.google.com/webhp?rlz=1C....r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf.,cf.osb&biw=1366&bih=667

They will be fine. Sometimes when people have a dinoflagellate bloom their lights are off for 10~14 days. In nature, when there's a tropical depression, which over time becomes a tropical storm, then becomes a hurricane, the corals in the ocean have barely had any light for a loooooong time.

After the fixture dries out, you will want to clean the insides out. If you're uncomfortable with this, buy an electrician friend a 6 pack and a pizza and have them do it.

Fish/snails/corals will be fine for a couple days. I've gone lights-out a couple times in the past to combat algae blooms with no negative effects on any other inhabitant in the tank.

And, for the record, inwall is right. Use instant rice, though, its tends to soak more water faster, ime. I've been using that trick since I was a kid, and I can't tell you how many remotes/cellphones (the ancient bricks, not the fancy new things)/gameboys its saved :)

It is worth to note, however, that it doesn't always work. It depends on how much water got in there, how long it soaked, etc. But it's still a hell of alot better take a chance on $10 worth of rice!

    Good luck!
