Cheryl was being more than polite. You have a very nice looking setup and aquascape. The two tangs, especially the Clown should not be in there. I remember when my CT was that small. They are very docile and cute when they are that size. If fed well, they grow extremely fast, and become extremely aggressive. Its the meanest fish I own, bar none. My 22" Queen Trigger is the only fish i can keep with it. Kudos for getting a healthy one, though. They are not the easiest fish to keep when they are small.

Jerry put it very eloquently. It would be in a good idea to review his first hand experience with this fish.

175 gallon tank will not cut it either.

Passing up attractive corals and unique fish that are not appropriate is one of the hardest aspects of this hobby.

While I share and appreciate enthusiasm for the hobby I also hope hobbyist will do the responsible thing husbandry wise.

As members I hope we can convey this message in a diplomatic manner therefore preventing " The Tang Police" from leading an informative thread astray.

Mine was in a 300. It started harassing all of the fish, non stop. It had the Blueline Trigger up in a corner all day, which is a very strong, aggressive fish itself. It was a very stressful situation, which is not what a reef tank should be about.

Thanks for the info. Its crazy how some fish are so mean and others of the same kind are so mean. Just like my gold band maroon clown, he schools with my other 2 maroons and there has never been one fight even on introduction. My friend has a large clown in his 200 with other tangs and angels and he's a very mellow fish. If he gets aggressive or to big then I'll just have to remove him or better yet, get a bigger tank ;)

Congrats on the new fish. Looks like a 600 gallon tank is in your future.
