FYI I think the Red Sea 175 is in gallons, not liters. They have a Red Sea 650 that he must be referring to. They do not make a Red Sea 175 from what I could tell.

Thank you, the red sea I'm purchasing is in gallons. I used 175 as reference to gallons not model number. Again everyone has been giving me great and helpful advice but there's always one rude person who has to post his insight. I'm sure everyone has made mistakes in the past, this hobby is about learning correct? I just let rude people talk because they embarrass themselves eventually. Besides, I wouldn't pay 5 grand for a 60 gallon tank. Lol

I do just want to point out that, even though it was a misunderstanding at first, I do truly think that Daniel was trying to explain why it's not a good idea to keep it in a tank that small. It's not that he's mad at you, he just wants you to understand why you would one day question why such a nice fish died in that tank. This was before you stated that you were upgrading though, and it's good that you are :) I'm not blaming anyone here. I'm pretty sure that it was all just a misunderstanding.

No problem. And when it comes to the internet, you get the good with the bad. Although in this case, all of the advice is good. Since the 175 likely still won't be big enough, and it seems to be a rather aggressive fish anyways, I would think about bringing it back to the store now before you really get attached to it. If you notice, Live Aquaria sells their small Clown Tangs for $30 also. In the future if you did a large enough order you could even get free shipping. Don't use the good deal as a deterrent to bring the fish back. Again, just my opinion.

OK, I'll make this post a little nicer. Dennis, this fish sells so cheaply because the demand really isn't there. Most people don't purchase them because they are so difficult. Not only do they need a lot of room, it can be tough to get them to eat on a consistent basis. I've been around this hobby for a long time and just trying to get you to understand that this fish will not live a month in this tank and if it does, it's going to get very skinny and color will fade due to lack of oxygen.
