im not sure about the clown tang, but I know species like the naso tang can seem to be doing very well then one day die for "aparently" no reason. Many people have attributed this death to a physological effect of keeping them in small tanks. Im not sure if this is the reason behind the clown, let me know how it works out, id love one of those too!!

Hopefully he likes my tank, he has a lot of swiming space, and yet a lot of caves and many crevices were he loves to zoom through. Hes eating good, so i see no problem!!! GODSPEED!!

Yes IBMGEEK, i already placed a couple of rocks, my giant brain, and some orange ricos i have. Still have more work ahead of me for today!!!

Hey sounds like your doing good with your tang. I have a clown tang and is very easy to take care of also. It eats anything and has been very active since day 1. I've had him for about 4 months but he is doing very good. Good luck with yours sounds like it is going to work out good.

Im in the process of upgrading from my 95 to a 240G because of the naso I have. Recomends at least a 6 foot swimming length, so as long as you have that should be fine

I thing the "Expert" rating on this fish is due to it's rapid growth and because of that they become dominant over other more established fish, this causes fights. Sounds like you've done everything right for your clown to be successful. What a beaut too.

As long as its eating a varied diet and you keep your water pristine you should be OK. They are rated expert because they thrive in very clean water with high oxygen content and need lots of swimming room. They are a very active fish like most tangs. They can get very aggressive when they get older. They are very beautiful and are one of my favorite tangs along with the Sohal tang. Eventually when I upgrade to a 220g I may give one a try.
