well i depends on the size tank.remeber clown tangs are another big rowing tang.they are sometimes agreesive but if tere is enough territory for both he would be good with almost any fish.hes not a predator fish so your clowns would be good.

They are big swimmers and need to be in 125g+ tanks that are heavly oxygenated. But in this hobby there is always an exception for everything. I also have been looking at the Clown Tang but I want him to be that last fish I add because some don't get alone with other tangs very well.

They can be aggressive, but not just to tangs. But as far as keeping them in a tank, yes a 6' or larger tank is recommended. They will live if they are eating. The trick with this fish is to watch it eat in the LFS, and don't buy one online unless there is a looong guarantee time. I'm not talking about it picking on the rocks, it should eat. They and all tangs are pigs. First at the table and last to leave usually. But if you're lucky enough to find one eating, then you should be OK. They're fairly hardy if they eat. Also IME they don't get as big as a Sohal, so a 125 would be alright.

One of the most aggressive Tangs around. If it's to go in the 55G I'd steer clear. They are very big swimmer and I'm afraid you'd end up with a ick problem for sure

Yes, very hard to keep alive without high levels of filtration snd water quality as well as flow and oxygen levels. They are known for "Sudden Death" syndrome where they appear to be fine and end up dead the next day. There aggression is up there with the Sohal Tang, and they have a highly developed tail spine which is larger than most others in its family. The yellow tang would also be a big problem as both tangs like to have lots of room to roam, especially the clown.

    Happy Hunting!!

Breed, just curious, you seem to have a REALLY not reefsafe fish (picasso trigger), and a definite invert eater (lunare wrasse) in your 65... How's that working out for you? Just curious because I love to see people add fish that aren't SUPPOSED to be reefsafe, and tell a success story. I've always wanted a picasso, but I've heard that they will even chew up the power cords to your powerheads.
