Ive been watching my female clown *the one who had a near death experience a few days ago* and for the past half an hour she has been hovering over the bubble coral's corner of the tank. This is unlike her to do this she never stays in one spot and i have never seen her "sleep" in this spot at night. I looked closely at her and she looked like she was trying to catch what she thinks is food floating in the water, but then spits whatever it is that she found out. But she has not been leaving the bubble's corner. She is also facing downwards towards it the majority of the time.

She is a tankbred black and white clownfish, is this a sign of possible hosting? or is she just being a clown. Maybe this could be why my bubble has been irritated, but i think its mainly from the food from last night.

    What do you think?

would make sense but the bubble always closes shut at night so there really would be nothing for her to host in at night

got caught in a powerhead and couldnt get out, she still has the imprint on her, and a possibility of torn flesh. She seems to be doing fine other wise, active swims fine and eats good

thats very interesting, she's been in the spot for close to an hour now, so who knows would be awesome if she's hosting the bubble, but if that's the reason why he's been closing up during the day might be the possible, but im still leaning towards the feeding mistake as far as the bubble being irritated

yea this is the only weird behavior ive noticed from her, during the day she was fine, but not like her to stay in one spot, usually all over the tank

i believe that she is scared and naturally looking for home and the coral is the closest thing to a nem she has been around so far so yes i believe she is hosting the coral out of fear from the pump incident
