I'm new to the forum. I've been reading threads for a while but have just reg. Anyway, I have a 125g tank thats been cycling for a few months. My nitogen is 0 nitrites 0 and nitrates pretty low. Anyway, I decided to get 2 ocillaris clowns for my first fish. I watched them in the tank at the lfs for a while and they looked really good. I brought them home and did the slow drip method for about 2 hrs before I added them in. One of the clowns is great. swimming around looking good and happy. The other is swimming around alright but is breathing really fast. Will he prob. get better? I'm not sure what the deal is. the other one is great but this one is doing what hes doing.

When you add two fish at once, you sort of have a built in control--just like in an experiment. I can't precisely answer your question, but I can tell you this: If they're both stressing, the conditions you have provided are sub-standard. If one is stressing, and the other is just dandy, (as is your scenario), then it's not your water chemistry. Something is up with that one fish.

Without more info, can't tell you any more. :-/

Ya, it was just that fish. I took it back to my LFS and traded it in for another clown and its now doing great. I know my water is fine. My tank has been cycling for about 3 months and everything is where it should be.

I wouldn't bother. Their bones are small enough you can just cut off the head and eat them.
