clownfish age?

    is there a way to tell the age of a clownfish?

    if its fully grown it could be 5 or 30

    You can always go by approximate size I suppose. When they are babies they are like the size of plankton, whereas while adults, depending on the species (I believe Clarkiis and Blue Stripes get the biggest) they can be anywhere from 4-8". You could also ask a breeder, about when they feel the clown is sexually mature, and how long they have had the clown I guess in a scale of weeks/months/years.

    I bought a maroon clown in 2009 as an adult. Not sure how old it really is though.

    Ive had my ocellaris clown for 14 years.

    yeah i just got a snowflake clown on saturday or sunday, i tryed measuring it by putting a type measure on the glass and it about 2 1/2 inches long. And i was just wounding if you could tell the age my there length?

    Not really. Their growth rate and maximum length can vary between individual specimens, and as already indicated, they reach full size at a fairly early age. (FTR, I've had three A. Ocellaris that never exceeded 2.5 inches).
