Throughout the day, a head on my torch has been practically ripped away from the skeleton by my clown due to the constant battering. The moonlights in my tank are on right now, but I can see that it is barley hanging on. Is there anything I can do to help save the head? The actual tentacles, and the base of the tentacles are fine and are out. Can I just glue it to some rock? Help! By morning, it will probably be completely gone.

This is from earlier today, but it is now much worse:

I'm not sure what you have and not, but sounds like you can frag it! I just lost a head off mine in a yellowtail damsel hunt! Fragged it and it seems to be growing!

So how should I attach it to another rock when it falls off?

thats sucks, clowns are known to kill torches from hosting them though. they cant handle it the way most other nems can

clowns are just evil i guess they have killed two things in my tank. a large polyp rock and a frogspawn. he is now hosting a clam and thank god he hasnt killed that yet. but im not too sure how you would save that head i have had heads fall off and they didnt live but the rest of the coral kept growing until he killed that. my suggestion is if you cant move 1 or the other if it doesnt stop then do it because it will smother it until it is dead. just my opinion

I agree my lfs suggests the same thing, basically if you cant keep them together just have the one, there is also the option of trying to get it to host an anemone and then maybe it will leave others alone. this doesnt always work though because my clowns host a certain hermit crab in my tank for some stupid reason, they bring him food and everything.. stupid.. stupid fish.

I woke up this morning and the head was gone!
I am starting to think that it is not the clown. I just switched lighting from Compact Fluorescent to LED, and another head is starting to do the same thing this morning. I have been keeping the LED's at 30% power to prevent problems. All other corals seem to be doing fine! Here is a picture (sorry its rotated):

I guess I will just keep the torch in there and not touch it. I will just let the clown do what it wants haha. The torch has never really had a problem with it until now though, so hopefully the other heads will hold up. The torch only has

the part that fell off is just sitting on the sand. Weird! Anyone have an idea what will happen to it?
