I don't know if anyone has had this problem. But it appears like one of my clowns is eating (biting) my frogspawn coral. I'm wondering if I have to get rid of the clown or if I should not worry about it? The frogspawn looks ok for the moment but this is the first time I have seen the clown do this.

if it were me a would trade in the clown for another..if you dont wanna get rid of it, you can rescape your tank, at night when the lights are off and that may confuse the clown..most people are going to say remove one or the other..you could also put it in the sump if you have one and then put it back in the tank after a week or so and maybe the clown will forget..

I would guess that the clown wants the frogspawn to be his host. The clown could do a lot of damage to the coral.

and it may not be eating it, it may just look like it..my clowns sucks on the tentacles of my LTA all the time so that might be what your seeing..if you start seeing the coral looking like its going to melt away then you got a problem..and if you start seeing it get beat up too much you got a problem..

I appreciate the help but the problem is solved. The clown jumped out of the tank :*( Not too bad though he was a jerk used to come out of the water to bite me when i would feed the corals and clams

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
The clownfish was probably a female, and it is very common for clownfish to mouth the tips of both anemones and types of euphyllias. Sometimes they will nip the tip off, but they are not actively eating the coral.
