i have recently bought two ocellaris clownfish. the bigger one of the two (1.4 inch) is feeding alright on frozen brine but my other much smaller clown (1 inch) clown didnt seem to touch any of the brine floating around in the water column. is this because they are in a new environment or something more serious?

    help!

possibly just getting accustomed to the tank
Ive experienced this a few times with different fish, some feed right out of the bag it seems and others take a couple of days to settle and then start feeding

if you have several different food types , flakes, pellets, mysis etc, try a different one tomorrow see if one of the others triggers a feeding responce

BTW,mysis is a much better food source, brine doesn't have much nutrional value unless treated with vitamin and fat supplements.I use Hikari brand frozen mysis and everything seems to like it.

I have the same problem with mine. I have to hand feed him cause he's a little slow and can't seem to eat anything floating on the water, or if it sinks he'll only chase it for a few inches before deciding "eh its not worth the effort."
