I had a pair a while back that did this and it finally got to the point that I had to get rid of one. At first the female wound up hurting the male so bad that it was having difficulty eating because it's lips were so swollen and bruised and it wound up hiding in a corner of the tank. Within a few days it got better, came back out and then it was the males turn - needless to say he beat her so bad that I thought she wasnt going to make it so I nursed her back to health and wound up giving her to a friend

My advice just keep an eye on them and if it gets bad you may have to separate them like I did :(

wow talk about an abusive relationship. at least mine weren't that bad and are swimming around each other today perfectly fine, but it was just strange as they were a pair when i got them, i've had them for two weeks now by themselves, and the fighting just started up randomly. So maybe it was just a bad day for the two. lol

My first 2 fish are Clown fish.
They have been in the tank for over 2 weeks.

The smaller one has always been slightly tougher than the bigger one.

Today the smaller one has been chasing the big one all around the tank. A then appears the he is biting his fin!!

This happens in periods, some times they get along fine, then all of a sudden he turns into a bully.

Is this natural, or can he harm the bigger clown fish?
    Both are eating fine.

clowns are still fighting pretty bad. Last night i saw the female slam the male against the rocks, when i tried to feed them last night she was to busy fighting the male and the male would dart to the back of the tank and she would chase him. But people are saying this is a normal clown thing so i guess they will eventually get over it
