Congrats!! Mine started laying eggs about a couple of month ago as well.. I'm not sure what's more amazing. The fact it only took 15 month or that your female clown let you get that close to the eggs. Mine go so pissed & my friends hand wasn't even in the water. That it jumped right out of the tank, bounced off my head, onto my chest, & onto the floor. In a panic I put it back in the tank & she is still fine. It scared the crap out of us!! Mine lay eggs every 2 weeks or so.

Well it looks like we have to wait at least another night - no hatch tonight. I think our 76-77 degree water temp is causing a slightly longer incubation. We've decided to leave the eggs in with the parents and try to scoop out fry after they hatch. Good thing too... I would have pulled them out tonight and they wouldn't have been ready. Pulling the eggs too early may have been another factor in our poor hatch last time.

Have you tried raising any fry?

Sadly the eggs did not hatch yet. Did some quick reading from the Clownfishes book about the hatching time period. Their tank is at 76 degrees which the book says it should be around 11 days to hatch. The warmer the tank the less incubation time, the colder the longer. So today is I believe day 10. So if not tonight then tomorrow night.

Hey Doyle. Still waiting for our recent batch of eggs to hatch. From what we've read, the cooler water temp is causing them to incubate longer. Once these hatch, we're probably going to raise the temp slowly to reduce the incubation time. It's hard to wait so long! :)

The fry's are here! So far I can see 6 of them. Their numbers kept dwindling from the male. I'll try and get some good pics in a bit.
