Clownfish Fry Raising Journal Update 05/24/12

Two fry have made it into day 12 and one is swimming like a clownfish! Looks like some orange pigment is also starting to come in. Actually had to set up a second 10 gallon tank yesterday in preparation for tonight's scheduled hatch.

 

I am really happy for you guys. I knew you would prevail.

Let's see some more pics of your fry. How big is your female tomato? I have a pair that has probably been together for about a year now.

 

I don't have the tomato pair anymore-dumb mistake on my part.The fry I hatched are still small because I hadn't been keeping up on water changes.I never realized how important it really is for the fry.I'll try to get some pics tomorrow.

Thread Jack-I picked up a pair of breeding clarkiis about a month ago and have been feeding them till they can't eat anymore.They just spawned for me 2 days ago.BIG NEST to.I might just let it go though.I'll see.I also picked up a spawning pair of banggais about a week ago and the male was already carrying eggs.I hope i get real busy in the next few weeks.

Now back to you.From my limited experience once they have almost all there color and at least 1 headstripe your out of the woods.Keep it up.
