    hello!
Recently I bought my black ice and snowflake clownfish a bubble tip anenome. They both are now paired and my female clownfish will be laying eggs really soon! Recently I noticed that the female clownfish has been taking a slight interest in the anenome, eating out of it, swimming around it, and looking around it. Are these some signs that she might host it? When your clownfish hosted an anenome what were some of the signs they were going to host it?

Its the anemone hosting the clown not the clown hosting the anemone;).Clowns are very unpredictable.

That is true! I agree that clownfish are so unpredictable. The female snowflake has been living in the seaweed attached to the seaweed clip for my tang, yet is now just showing interest in the the anemone, a month later. Gotta love them.

I read the title and I knew vinny would beat me too it!!! Lol. Give it time, little Nemo will find his/her home. Once I pulled my anemone out of the tank, anything with flowing tentacles is where my clown would be.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
It was popsicles and apples for me Vinny, stop stereotyping. :p

Unless you bought a previously spawning pair, your female may not be ready to spawn.

The male more then female will clean and protect an area. The females abdomen will be rounded, for a number of days. These are just a few signs of an impending spawn.

Female more or less needs to be 2 years of age, male older than 6 months.

Here are a few reasons why I believe that my female might be pregnant.
    1. Her mid-section has gotten rounder. More than when I got her a long time ago.
    2. She has been cleaning a particular area over and over again (a piece of live rock near my BTA)
    3. She has been swimming around the same section of the tank for about a week and only comes up when I feed her.
Are these any of the indicators? Please let me know! I'm new to this.
