hi i have a nano tank with an ehiem overhead filter on it. my clownfish seems to like spending time under it. almost like it's his anemone. he swims well and feeds well. so is that normal for clownfish? he sleeps under it too

One more question, how often should i add vita-chem and selcon to my food? =o i plan to feed pellets in the morning and change variety in the evening ( shrimp krill etc )

Perfectly normal. I wouldn't feed pellets unless you soak them first. If a fish eats them "dry", they can expand in its stomach and cause problems. I never supplement my fish food. The flakes on the market these days contain all of the nutrition that my fish need. Vitamins like that will pollute your water fast, especially in a nano tank. If you absolutely MUST supplement with vitamins, I would only do it once a week. Make sure you run a good carbon 24/7.

Do you have any frogspawn or other kind of coral for your clown ?
Maybe he feels lonely and wants to love something?

Cant help with the other question
I feed pellets and alternate with mysis shrimp - Just watch over feeding...
Apparently it is quite easy to do! ;)

through suggestion here I roll the pellets with garlic sometimes too... it is really kewl watching the tank freak out for feeding! ;D
Snails surface - shrimp come running .... Must try!

My maroon started hosting my bubble coral. Had to move it. Twice so far. Finally stopped, which is good, as they are a little hard on the corals that host them.

It sounds like the fish has you trained :) Hunger is a great motivator so if you feed only the Sera flakes, the fish will eventually eat it.

We use O.S.I. brand marine flakes. Most pellet foods are made for bottom feeders (you might notice that they sink) so even if there wasn't the issue with having to pre-soak them, I'm not sure how many your fish would be able to eat before they landed on the sandbed.
