well i just realized that my clownfish got an ich... he has these white spots all over the body... the other one still dont have it.. i was feeding them brine shrimp and mysis shrimp... now I tried tieing up a lettuce to a rock for them to eat it but i dont see them picking on it at all...

So i was wondering what kind of medication should i give him? :( what would you guys recommend...

Unfortunately he is too far gone if he is floating from time to time. If the other one isn't showing symptoms then I wouldn't do anything just yet. You can get Marine Max and start putting some of that in. I would also soak the food in garlic from time to time to help boost the current clowns immune system. Unfortunately since the one had ich, you entire tank has ich. If you want to be sure to get rid of it in your tank, then you can set up a QT and put any and all fish in there and let your DT set fishless for at least 4weeks, the life cycle of all forms of the ich. Keep a close eye on the current clown, if it starts showing any signs, then I would take it out and put it in a QT and start hypo and frequent small feedings of garlic soaked food. Hope this all helps.

Go fallow for 8 weeks not 4. I would immediately set up a qt and treat them with copper or some some sort of medication. Good luck I hate ich.

Copper isn't good for clowns, some can take it some can't. I wouldn't do copper with them.

its best to leave your tank fallow for a few weeks longer than the life cycle of the ich parasite. this will hopefully ensure that there is none of it around for when you start introducing new denizens of the deep.

ah thank you very much guys :(.. would me dropping the salinity speed up the process? will it kill my reef?

    and drop the temperature?

Yes, dropping the sg will kill your reef and don't drop the temp. What you do is move the ich infected fish to a QT tank with nothing but the fish and something like a PVC pipe for it to hide in. Keep it at the same temp as your tank and gradually lower the sg.

I was reading that dipping the food in garlic is good for their immune system.. As I am willing to try everything, how do I do this? Do I buy the Kent garlic or use house garlic? I don't get what I'm suppose to do
