Clownfish major with mouth problems

    I have had the clown fish for 1 week with no sign of trouble but came home to night and seems to have major problems with its mouth. its seems that it is stuck open and "lips" are rolled back. also its not eating...can any one help

    Do you have any anemones, do you know if you have a lot of bristle worms? Or other things that sting?

    best pictures i can get. I have no anemones some corals but were told none of them sting.

    Do you have another clown? Any aggressive fish?

    i have another smaller clown. the female/bully is the one with the mouth issues. think it is a battle wound?

    It looks like a fungus, maybe cotton mouth disease! Google that and see what you think!

    I really don't see anything fuzzy...unless I'm not seeing the photo right. Which is possible!

    My clown got a really messed up mouth once when my two clowns really got into it. Sometimes they fight by locking mouths. Do you ever see them fight?

    no, there doesnt seem to be any fungus. looks like the mouth kind of rolled back. (sounds stupid but best description is that the fish is making a duck face.) the two clowns chase each other but have not been locking mouths. have your fish recovered from this in the past?

    Yes, my injured clown was fine after a week or so. He had trouble eating, but found a way.

    They locked mouths quite often when they were both young and newer (this went on for a few months) to the tank, now that one is definitely female, that has stopped.

    How long have you had both of them together, and are they quite young?
