Parasites are funny that way, a parasite or virus for that matter is not going to be able to spread if it kills it's victim off too quickly. Not all internal parasites/worms are created equal. If a fish is otherwise healthy and eating good than the parasite has a good home.

When I used to work with Sea Lions it was amazing the amount of intestinal worms they came in with.....I'll not go into the gory details but it was not pretty.

I swear, I've been dealing with various parasites for the past year. It's never going to end!!

I'll try my metro food soak for a while, some reviewers stated that it worked. Fingers crossed. I'm lucky they're eating like monsters

It's weird how the white poop comes and goes for a while

LOL. ;D You do not know that half of it. We used huge UV filters for just that reason.

I ordered Seachem metro yesterday because now im noticing some more symptoms. The clowns aren't as active, and aren't eating as well as they used to. Metro should be here Saturday :( I'm so stressed out hoping they will still be eating by then, but they're eating pretty well still. Fingers crossed!!!!

Well it looks like more problems with the clowns! Today I noticed that one of them had a small, faint bump on its "chin" below his mouth. He is also breathing slightly faster today. I've been feeding with the metro soaked food for what I thought was internal parasites. But could this actually be a bacterial infection? It's not fuzzy really. Just a bump that's lighter in color.

I really don't know what to do with these stupid clowns....I haven't had problems with them for months! What's going on now? I do my water changes, my nitrates, nitrites an ammonia is 0, and It seems I can never avoid problems.

You can kinda see the bump on him right below his mouth. It's small.

And here's how he's looking. I mean his coloring is great and he looks healthy, I just don't know.

Edit: there! Got a great pic of it.

you may be overthinking it George. If your fish are seemingly healthy, eating, swimming and your parameters are good - I wouldn't worry about their poop. The growth under the mouth could just be from a bump or something. If you start adding chemicals to treat various things when there may not be something alarming or serious going on, it could make matters worse. Just my .02.

I do have a tendency to over think things..lol the clown wasn't acting like himself today, he was just kind of sitting in one spot, but sometimes he's like that.

But the white poop is starting to disappear with the metro, so I'll just keep with that since it's working at least. Hopefully these problems resolve themselves.

I watched them a while just now and everything looked normal. But I did see him flash on the heater once, that was all. And the other clown did the same yesterday, but he's not doing it today. I think they're starting to pair up more now.

I will stop the medicated food on friday and ten hopefuly the next day I can introduce my new butterfly from divers den who has been patiently waiting :) fingers crossed that everything with the clowns stays well. It may be the medicated food that is getting the m crazy
