Clownfish Question!!

i have had my mated clowns for about 5 months now, male about 2in and female about 4in, about a week ago i found my male had jumped out the back of my tank and passed on .. well today i bought another mated pair of occi clowns and introduced them into my tank around 2pm, male about 2in and female about 3in.. about an hour ago i went to check on them and found the original female and the new male in the anemone together and now they both chase the new famale when she gets close to them so i put her in my sump..as i continued watching them i noticed both the new male and old female doing this little dance, they turn side ways and kinda do a jiggle thing... my confusion is,
1. why is the male doing this with my old bigger female?
2. why is my big female doing this back to the male???
3. why would the male all of a sudden be chasing his female??

seems your old female was more attractive to your new male....what a pimp..... return the new female to the LFS or she will risk getting killed in the DT

 

Your old female had the condo, so the male went with the money. The little get jiggy with it dance is a sign they are mated together and happy with the marriage. And yes return the other female.

 

Alright that's what I figured just wasn't sure if a male would leave his old lady but i guess if we can divorce why can't they.. Ha! Just caught the female, she will be back on the market for another sugar daddy.. Guess he got tired of her *****ing so he moved on ha lol

 

Taking her back is wise cause my original female is one meannnn biotch, her new hubby doesn't know what he just got into, she was attacking the net the whole time, and when u get next to her anemone watch out cause the hulk just came out, I watched her slam my tang into the glass when he got next to it... Mean mean biotch!!!

 

i have a yellow tale blue damsel that fears nothing, she attacks my puffer, not to mention my hand and arm when I do work in the tank. love her attitude
