I had a ocellearis clown & black clown.. my ocellearis clown died & I'm thinking of getting another clown fish.. I can get good deal on a rare snowflake clown..., so my question is, Will it get along with the black clown fish? I know black clown is temperamental to me..whenever I reach in tank it bites me every chance it gets... I don't want problems with livestock...

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    1. Is the Snow flake a large adult or small juvenile? If a juvenile you might be fine.
    2. How long has the clown you have now been alone and is it the female or the male of the pair?

Basically you need to match the current clown with a smaller juvenile. Two females will fight to the death usually.

If you decide to add a new clown, you can
    1. Move the scape around a tad just prior to introduction.
    2. Turn off the lights upon introduction.
    3. If possible move the current clown to a breeder box or sump to allow the juvenile a day or two to acclimate.

    Good Luck.

    Thank you corailline..

I'm not sure yet on the age of new clown.. (working on that info)..
My black clown has been alone for almost 4 mnths now.. I believe its the female @ least it has been the most aggressive..
