Okay I lost my Maroon clown and once i feel the tank is safe I'd like to try again. My tank is going to have damsels, damsels and more damsels so I need one that will hold it's own and I was wondering if a pair of pink skunk clowns would hold their own against a grab bag of milder damsels *relative term mind you* I'm also thinking about a six line wrasse and I think that should hold its own, but if you think that's a problem let me know...

Clownfish are actually Damsels themselves. It is a toss up when you add any fish in question. The sixline IME will hide out for awhile, the swim mainly in the rockwork. They are pretty tough. Mine took out my Royal Gramma, but they are known to have issues with each other at times. I think my Royal got sick, hence then picked on.

How big is the tank? Clowns can become very territorial especially to other damsels. Unless you have a tank of sufficient size, I would advise against housing a pair of clowns with other damsels, but that's just my two cents.

Tank is 56 gallons. I was going to do 1 maroon, but I really like the pink skunks if they can hold their own. I'm doing all damsels that stay 3-3.5" max (and of the 2 more gentle families I just cant remember the 2 families right now).

Everything I've ready says pink skunks are some of the more docile clowns. I would look more at clarkii/tomato clowns although they get much bigger then the other clowns so be prepared for that.
