i think it is stressed out, its been through alot to end up in your tank. most fish with a small amount of fin rot act normal, atleast thats my expierence with freshwater fish with fin rot.

Personally i would highly recommend not doing water changes or using chemical filtration to remove the ammonia. I would leave the tank be for the bio filtration to accumulate.
If the clown fish dies then put it down to gaining experience.
We all make mistakes when we first start up. Dont worry about it.

my tank has already cycled , the spike in ammonia is probably due to the addition of fish + partial water change after cycling. i would love to save this clown's tail rot 8)
it seems to be swimming more now actually , probably because the anti fungus has stress relieving characteristics ;D

If your tank gained levels of ammonia when you added a fish, it clearly wasnt cycled......
A truely cycled tank will never ever show any level of ammonia what so ever.

update : ammonia has dropped to 0 to 0.1 can't really tell..
but the tail rot seems to be a bit worse. And if i'm not wrong, it seems to be scrapping it's body against hard objects

Below is the updated picture taken around 8 hours after the first ones

Agreed. Prime is a very good product that IMO needs to be in every aquarist's cabinet.

For fin rot, I have always used Melafix and garlic in the food. Dip a little flake food in Melafix. Feed fish. Dip a little in garlic....repeat. I, probably incorrectly, use Melafix/garlic as a cure all. Has worked so far. Fin rot is not that serious of a malady. Easily cured.
