So i had a black and white clown but his face was orange. I have had him for around 8months now and i have noticed that all the orange on him is gone! he is now completely black with white stripes.

Is this normal? I like him better all black, the orange was kinda out of place.

    Anyone else have this happen?

Ive seen them get darker, but not go pure black. if you started off with a dark pair could have gotten even darker.

yes, it is natural for that to happen. You probably got them as juveniles.

yes, i was also going to say that as juveniles they should be more light orange than when they are as adults.

From what I'm told, if you buy a black occy clown at a young age, it has an orange face. Are they wild or Aquacultured?

Not sure, one is a big female, that is mostly orange and fades to black on the fins, and the other was a small black and white clown with orange on the face. But now has no orange.

This pic is back when i had them in the 20gallon.

The black one now has no orange at all!

My male always swim up and nip the hair on my arms. The female just gets super excited when it's dinner time. So she basically sticks her head out of the water when she swims up. lol
