If you want some examples of high end clowns check out ibluewater.com I'd consider those examples of high end fish and prices.

as far as health. Treat it as any other fish purchase. Make sure they are actively swimming and no signs of disease visible.

i feel high end clowns is a very vague title open to lots of personal debate/opinion. a high end clown in his eyes, might not be a true high end clown ie black ice, black onyx, ora anything. etc.. If i was you, go look take a pic and post it here, im sure we can help.

+1 to Mox, that sight carries some truly "high end" stuff, and that comes with a high end price tag as does everything in life thats of a higher demand.

Those clowns are pretty sweet. Never heard of that site and yes the price tag does fit the quality.

ibluewater is on the extreme high side, but yes...they do have nice clowns. Check out divers den as well, they have good examples of high end clowns with a price tag to match...not as bad as ibluewater though. To give you a reference I paid $300 for my pair of platinum clowns from a local shop. They were already a bonded pair, fairly large and in great health. Picasso's are beautiful fish and you can get them at a decent price.

I would check out Doni's Reef as well...they have beautiful fish

    re: clownfish

yea the guy form kijiji phoned me back and was trying to sell me a "high end" clownfish pair for 600 dollars. i said thats a little expensive. he also has supplies for the salt water fish and he said he had a biocube that had everything with it for 800 dollars. and it doent even include the live rock. i think this is a little expensive, do you agree?

The cool thing about clownfish is that they are extremely hardy...mine has made it through some interesting conditions through the learning process.

I paid $300 for my used biocube. It came with the stand, beautiful live rock (30 lbs), heater, hydor, inTank media basket, misc. supplies, 1 clown, 1 shrimp, CUC, and a couple xenia stalks. $800 is too much unless it is fully stocked and possibly upgraded lights.

Ask what variant and species the clownfish are.
