A few days ago I added two clowns and a long tip anemone. Now they're getting within inches of it a few times a day and run off to explore the tank. My girlfriend gets no sleep as I cheer whenever they get close hoping they start rubbing on it. Anyone else have clowns looking at their anemone? This is more exciting than when I added the corals lol

When I introduced my clowns and anemone the looked at it, from the other end of the tank. They thought hosting a powerhead was a better home.
Good luck, I hope they find their way home.

    Mine chose the heater. :/

FTR, Several years ago, I had a clown that "dove right into" a new LTA... and got stung. Mixing clownfish and nem species doesn't always work out like we planned. Info is available on what nem hosts which clowns in nature, although the BTA seems to be the safest and most widely accepted universal choice.

Mine are getting close and I just saw one peck at the anemone. My anemone is moving though as I know they do. Further research shows they like to be planted in the sand near a rock. I'm going to watch it for a few days and see what it does. I have a good location for it to get the sand and rock.

The anemone let go and moved about 15 minutes after I fed my fish. I looked up and it moved from the top left to the middle rock and was only holding on using its tentacles, not it's foot. I carefully placed it's foot on half sand half rock as I recently learned that's how they like it in the wild. It's currently crawling up the glass. I have not seen the clowns get close to the new location of it, sadly.

Hmm, seems like a weird spot for it to be going to me. Possibly a current/flow issue?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Are you sure the is a LTA and not a Condy?

LTA typically do not move up the glass and not really a good sign.
