My sebae clowns have matured to where they want to live in an anemone. (Notice how I avoided the word "hosting"?)

The closest thing to an anemone in my tank is Xenia, so they flop around in that. The xenia is NOT AT ALL happy with this arrangement and I'm pretty sure they will eventually kill the xenia. I've seen clowns using anthellia as headquarters; has anyone any experience with this as a surrogate anemone?

    Thnx

You can train them to stay away from your xenia by scaring it away every time it gets close.

No thanks... I already have a hippo tang that attacks the turkey baster because I used it to try and spook him from a coral I was spot feeding :(

Anthellia can overgrow everything in your tank. I had it in my 90 and it was impossible to control. I would avoid that coral altogether.

I had a clown that LOVED my anthellia....plus a foxface that would sleep in it, plus I have a blue tang hippo that slept in it....list can go on!

I started with a very small piece of it, and I have literally fragged and thrown gigantic pieces of it away (sorry for whoever is going to yell at me...nobody else wants it..I have exhausted all possible sources of anybody that wants these). Now my Blue Tuxedo urchin is pulling pieces of it off and carrying it around and spreading it!
