Ok I know I am posting alot today but really want to have a well thought out plan. Again I have a 24g nano that is still in its cycle. Going into its 2nd month. I just have live rock and cleaning crew..

Only going to have 3 fish in teh entire tank with a boat load of coral. I am deciding on what type of clown to get. My thought is I want a pair of clowns to host in something.. Either an Anemone or something else.. Really want a purple tip Anemone...

These are the 2 species of clowns I am looking into..
    True Percula Clownfish
    or
    Black and White Ocellaris Clownfish

    Questions

Is my tank to small for these?
What species is more inclined to host?
Can there be a pair of these or do they have to be alone?
    Anything else I should know?

    Thanks everyone.

Get one of each. They should get along just fine.

Anemone+coral=bad combo imo. The anemone will kill the coral.

if your gonna do coral and anenome its kinda of small for a tank but its possible i would get the anenome first and make sure it finds its sweet spot then get coral afterwards clowns are great period but black clowns are cool

Thanks everyone.. Its going to be a while be for i get an Anemone... Want my tank really established before I even touch one. I know the risks of them so not just going to throw one in there. I just always wanted one think they are very cool. But I am doing my homework for this tank build.. I have to much invested to make a stupid mistake..

Just want to make sure that 24g tank is ok for either of those clowns...

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
No one can predict what a clown will reside in, ( clowns do not host anythng, the anemone is the host ).

Try to choose a pair of captive breed clowns. O. clowns have a reputation of being not so aggressive, but all clowns can get aggressive.

Get a young pair but not babies. Make sure they are eating and find out what they are eating. Do not buy a clown that is alone in the tank by it's self or large older clowns. They can be hard to pair up with anything else.

Maroon, clarki, and tomato tend to be the most aggressive by far.

Three fish in the tank should be fine as long as you do the routine water changes.

A royal gramma or firefish is a good canidate for clowns IMO.
