was anyone watching CNN when that guy said he has a car that can get 110 mile to a gal. it was a mustang and it been around since the 40's ?

yea and he said he is not going to tell the world how to do it yet, because he is going to enter it in to some contest first. i know he sleep with one eye on the car. and he claims it fast then any muscle car ( in its class of course)

B/S is all I'll say . Not to say there are not plenty of ways to really increase mileage But the Feds and EPA would never allow it. If he is making 400 + HP and 500 + Lbs of ft. Tq to the rear wheels then he is sneaking something else down into the intake . I'd like to think its true But I know better . If he had what he said he did there would be a patient and the big three would be on him like white on rice not to mention IRL to NASCAR and he would be a zazillionair and not worrying about a contest a patent would keep any one in that contest from having it . I guess CNN is hurting for ratings LOL If his Granddaddy had it well there would have never been any war gas rationing either

this guy has huffed to much ethanol and CNN's reporters just lost a little more credibility with me

Ethanol produces far less power per gallon than normal old gasoline therefor causing it to have worse mileage than gas does.

I'm fighting with this problem with my mustang since it will not run on any blend of ethanol fuel at all and my truck loses 6mpg on ethanol over gas

The only way to produce 500+hp on ethanol is to turn 8k+ rpm's just ask anyone that designs engines for indy cars they ran into this issue when they were forced to switch from methanol to ethanol

 

LOL I had to sell my old 64 SS Impala 409 dyanoed at 507 hp at the output shaft of the old Muncie . I would not run on pump gas under 100 Oct. I used to add 10 gals of racing fuel to every tank . of what passes for gas theses days . I sold it rather then convert it to a turbo 400 as I can't drive a stick anymore and I did not want to piss the Car Gods off

The Old Vett LT-1 my son got is so detuned now it won't hardly get out of its own way . Been thinking about a new set of lower compression heads and a blower or and turbo's

The 96 Z 28 would run on what they call gas now but it was weak unless you want to AMMOCO 93 Oct.

I drive a turbo Diesel truck now maybe should have kept the old 409 LOL 1/2 dozen of one six of the other with the fuel cost But the comfort factor I'd take the truck

As for Huffing ? Nitrous bottle maybe was leaking LOL

lol i think your right with the ethanol iraf. and the big 3 would be all over him with offers. but one can dream
