co2 question

    hi there guys, i hope this finds you all in good health.

    I have a quick question, i have recently upgraded my skimmer to a v2 1500, £25 pounds ;D;D brand new, about 45dollar and have noticed you can attach a co2 to it, my question is this, do i need co2?? i have lots of softies and a few fish, i assume this is for growth but do i need one for my tank?? would it help and what does it do??

    co2 is normally only used through a CA reactor or in a planted tank so I wouldn't think you'd need it

    I believe it is meant for the effluent that comes out of a Calcium reactor to go through it to help blow off the CO2 still in the effluent.
