Look to any welding gas company or soda bar supplier don't buy one rent a 20 lb tank that will last you a yr or longer. 20lb of gas is about 28.00 to 32.00 and a tank rental is ,like 30.00 a yr average.. A new 5 lb tank is like a 100.00 and have to be re-certified and tested every so often and its a 60.00 fee to get that on average.. anyone who buys a tank is making a mistake when I was using tanks for welding and soldering gasses I never brought one.. waste of money I can get you one but it s rip off I think..

yeah, I'm gonna call my buddy that owns the restaurant/bar and see if he can get an extra and I'll just pay him for it, since he already keeps about 50 of them around anyway whats 1 more lol

I know he leases his and when their empty he just tells them and they bring him a replacement that's full within 24hrs

Did you tell anyone you called that you would p/u and drop off for refills ? I bet they where thinking you wanted them to just deal with hauling you one at a time.. But hell yes if your buddy has a bar thats where I'd look to.. I just hate to buy them .. The testing get expensive and then trying to find a place to take the liability and not be theres is hard to do. Lots of insurance regulations on pressurized tanks like this.. 3,000 PIS makes a big mess .

That sounds like a good deal. I did buy mine at a welding supply shop. I did not get a shiny new one as they don't fill there and only exchange them... so the full, 20# tank cost me $80 total and $30 to exchange when I need to... So I never need to worry about inspections...
