I got a bunch of corals and whatnot in the mail today and when they got here all the bags were fairly cold. most of them looked okay but i did a very slow acclimation to make sure to try not to shock them. the anemone is the one i am worried about the most right now. it has only been in the tank for a few hours and i know they take some time to get used to everything sometimes, just wanted everyone opinion... sry camera phone

No need to worry at this point. As long as it was a healthy specimen to begin with (ie no damage to the foot), it will acclimate to it's new home in a day or two. If it's still looking like that in 3 days or so I'd begin to worry.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Yep give it a couple days unless you see obvious decay or an ammonia spike.

it looked great in the bag but i could feel that the bag water must have been at least as low as 60. it did not have any visible dmg but i was not sure about that grey stuff in the middle. some of the tentacles are still very colorful and i think it looks great!... if it survives :/

The gray stuff in the middle could be mesenterial filaments. Display of mesenterial filament is a bad sign.

    Not my image:

If the body of the Anemone is torn, you need to take images and contact the vendor.

In my experience anytime you change the water (not necessarly water changes).. in this case from the water in the bag and the water in the tank, it will blow out all the old water and inflate itself with new water. In doing so as someone else suggested you need to watch your water parameters so see if there is a spike. Address any spikes in Amonia quiclky as you dont want the anemone exposed to less than perfect water quality. it may do this a few times, just need to watch to see if it starts spewing out strings of insides. This action is not a good sign. Good luck :)

oh ....also try to keep the flow down or away from it while it gets used to the new water you dont want it blowing all over the place while it is going through this transistion

I returned an anemone to the LFS today after 24 hours since putting it in my tank it was not looking good. Was hopeful for a couple hours but really, once that center starts to open up and the insides come out there's no going back.
I can't imagine how an anemone could survive being shipped, especially in winter.
Anyways, sorry you lost yours :( always a sad thing. They are so beautiful when happy.
Hope the other corals are doing well.
