Something else to consider is you are going to need quite the chiller to keep a 150 gallon tank that cold...

By the way, i was surprised about the size of the skimmers out there :O for the oceanarium tank, they had 12 "sand filtration tanks" and 3 HUGE skimmers, i was like "WOOOOOOOW" haha :)

Sounds cool, maybe a bit impractical however. (you just posted a thread talking about the cost of a regular reef in Denmark why set up another tank).

You should do a search for the 300g cold water tank on here.

I don't want to come across as harsh, but I'm going to point out a few things I noticed.

Why "keep" a fish if you know you're going to return it? Seems like unnecessary stress to me, not to mention cruel to the fish.

You said so yourself that you've been with the Oceanarium for 1 week. It doesn't seem logical that you could understand how to perfectly care for fish after 1 week of watching, especially considering you're going to be putting fish that require 300-500g in a 75-150g tank. Hopefully you don't follow in the "stocking shadow" of your 20 gallon. 7 fish in there I believe?

As others have said, why not try just the blennies and crabs, or get a bigger tank (you seem to have the money for it). Though judging by previous threads, you're going to find some way to justify your actions, regardless of what we advise you.

BTW, if you can't even ship live animals in Denmark, I doubt its so easy as to just go out to your local beach and collect sea life.

Awesome idea, good luck with it. I would strongly suggest you start with a 150gallon if you can, would case a lot less problems in the long run, defiently invest in a quality chiller.

I see what you mean. No, i dont have the money, my money that i've used on my reef tank is something i've got from my confirmation. I dont have "alot of money". Yes, it is really as easy as collecting it at the beach, nothing is against the law by doing that. I'm thinking about only the blennies and crabs and sea stars, since they dont require alot of space. The whole point of getting these blennies, is that they breed constantly, so can deliver the very old big ones to the oceanarium, and keep the small ones for myself. But thanks for the feedback :)

well actually what popped in my mind when you said this… you could install a sump outside and feed it to your indoors system. :S
