Southern Illinois University. It was a joke. Prepared me for a promising career in the food service industry. My only advice is take your time their seriously.

:book2: Do you know what your goals are? I went to a tech college instead of a full 4 year to save some $ and I knew I wanted to be in electronics. Have never looked back, and have had a great life working at what I love. That's the key, figure out what YOU what and go for it.:book2:

I went to Virginia Tech and don't regret a minute of it! I got a great education, but in the Computer Engineering field. They don't have a Marine Biology program, so it probably isnt the school for you! There are a TON of choices though, so do a lot of research before sending in all your applications, and ENJOY! The 4 years goes very fast, and they will be the best 4 years of your life!

On a side note, we are all very disappointed about our loss to Miami this weekend...so please don't even consider Miami!

Widener University for myself and the hubby, he also got a Masters degree from Villanova University.

Do take your time there seriously. My parents could not send me to college, so I worked full time, and went to college at night. 12 credits per semester is what I pulled. It was difficult and I only completed a two year degree (took me 5 years). I wouldn't trade my experience tho. Learned good work ethics and perserverence. Education is the ONE thing in life you can never lose!;D Best of luck to you in your search!

    Good thread.

I went to the University of Wisconsin at Madison. I have two degrees in communications - completely worthless after I decided film was not where I wanted to be - a lot of hurry up and wait in that field. (No regrets about that school though - fantastic place - best time of my life in a lot of ways. Go Badgers! ;D )

I agree with the others and it sounds like you know what you want to do which is great.

The only good marine biology school I know of is at the University of California - Santa Barbara. It is right on the Pacific. Getting into a U.C. school is harder than winning the lottery though. Many go to a California community college first as the U.C. system has to take so many of them each year.

Whatever you do - work hard, play hard. Just don't forget the first part.
