Color changing zoas?!

OK, well im no good with names, but i have these redish/pink centers with green skirts that fragged off about 6 polyps, i glued them directly next to these bright green center with brown skirts. Question being, the red center ones are now green center ones, has anyone ever had zoas that took on the color of a colony next to them?! Thank you in advance

 

This is new to me. Hmmmmm......have you started dosing anything new lately? Once upon a time, my zoas weren't looking as hot as they use to. Then I dosed some Vitamin C for about 2 weeks and their color just exploded back again.........

 

no, nothing new, the skirts did not change they are still the same color just the centers of them changed. They were a dull reddish purlpe, really bland, now they are same color as bright green ones next to them. i have never heard of it either but im not expert and i no some of yous are.

Did position in aquarium change?

 

no, stayed the same, they are about 3 inches away from the original group, on reef plugs.
