Hi all, I am considering one or two coralvue 250W DE pendants for a semi-circular reef tank (no water yet, but thinking--few fish, nothing super fancy to start, just what appears on its own on the cultured live rock from Tampa Bay). Coralvue has a kit with everything needed and your choice of bulb. Don't know all the manufacturers of bulbs included, but seems you can pick between 10K, 14K, & 20K.

Any recommendations? Manufacturer also if I have that choice.

    Thanks.

What color appeals to you? Bluer, crisp white or somewhere in between? That should be the first question? I believe you can get the CV combos with lamps already... They would just be CV lamps like the ReefLux.... Many people like Ushio, XM, Phoenix as well as others...

Dr Fragenstein, I guess I would prefer close to sunlight. Which color temp would match sunlight the best?
