Well, some of you may know that my Colt Coral is splitting. Should I just go ahead and frag it myself or let it do it's thing? For some reason, it hasn't been itself since I noticed the splitting. Is it irratated? It's "branches" don't extend out and it looks like it's "sagging." I don't know what to do, it used to be huge and come out all the time. Now I don't know what's wrong. Please help.

    Thank you,
    UTS

have you tested your water? post the results and post a pic when you can so we know what you are looking. dont start try to frag it yet, you will just stress it further.

    Hi there,
Thank you. Here are a few pics of it. Perams are fine. Nitrate is a tad high, but not enough to affect anything.

Yes, now I see. I would let it go. It is spreading. I have mine on the bottom on one plug and it has gotten huge and formed new brances but not spread. You may after a time cut the rock to divide it up.

What do you mean "let it go?" You mean let it do it's thing? It used to always be out. All of my other corals are fine. My LPS and Soft. Do you think it will be fine once it's split? Perams are fine, except Nitrate is a tad high, but not enough to do this. I hope it will be fine.

    Thank you,

Yes, let it do its' thing. Mine just went throug a period of, as one guy here put it, looking like pipe cleaners. I do know that mine has since starting to attach itself to another piece of rock that I hadn't noticed. Yours and mine might be a little agitated from the attaching/spreading. I also have observed that mine seems to prefer Alk at around 10 DKH.
