I know I posted this already but the colt coral is starting to look worse. It's lost a lot of volume and is still flopped over. I did a 20% water change, ammonia is now 0 (was .25) and everything else is where it should be. The salt is a little high, its .026. I also moved the water flow away from it so its getting moderate flow instead of high but nothing is helping.

Any other suggestions or ideas? Please & thanks!

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
If possible please post a picture, just to cut down on the speculation.

    TIA

The first pic is day one when we brought it home, the second pic is from today. We got it Saturday, only had it for 3 days.

You just posted about it 2 days ago and just got it 3 days ago right. Leave it alone, it will be fine, Most likely shedding or sloughing off skin. As they grow they tend to shed their outer skin, kind of like a snake.

They will close up, fall over and generally look like $hit for several days to a week or more. Then they will inflate with water again and be bigger and better and you sill see the skin sloughing off of it in places.

It happens naturally or can be caused by a change in water quality, like moving from one tank to another. I say just leave it alone and see what it does in a few days. And who ever posted that they do not like high flow IMO is wrong, mine are in everything from High to slow flow.

    Thanks Magnus!

I agree with gazop, just give it time, not uncommon for them to look that away for awhile during acclimation.

As far as a blanket statement regarding flow needs, flow is very subjective and what one person considers high flow another may consider medium. I would leave it be and let it get acclimated.

Thank you for the pictures that helps a lot.

Ok so now it looks like the tips of it are falling off, looks like a broken shell, is that what people mean by sloughing off? I haven't seen any slime or anything and it doesn't look like its melting...

It's near a couple xenia colonies but that's it. Should I maybe move it down a little in the tank? It's near the top because I have a tall tank but maybe that's too intense for it.

MAN I hope this thing lives because it sure is giving me an anyeurism, I'd like to get to enjoy it atleast!
