Colt Coral loc

Cauliflower Colt are said to be Semi-aggressive. my Q is how aggressive is that, if i put it in my mushroom patch will a war erupt or will they get along or is it better to put it with its own specie/area

 

Where did you hear this from? It probably means that, as with many soft corals, they can excrete toxins. They do this when threatened or when there isn't enough room to grow. You should be fine as mushrooms are about as peaceful as you can get. They usually do this when threatened by lps corals.

 

You shouldn't have any trouble as far as the coral dying, their is a possibility that the polyps may not fully extend due to irritation by one or both of the corals but that is about it, plus the mushroom can move if not happy.

 

Hello, I looked it up since I have a Colt but not a Cauliflower colt. By aggressive they say it can sting and put out some toxin if it is crowded. I don't think Mushroom Anemone have a problem with it but keep and eye on the mushrooms and if you see them retracting or not expanding as they do now, then give more room.

 

i was just reading about them on a few sites, and it was the first time i ever heard that they was aggressive, so i figure i would get a live opinion
