colt looking bad in daytime?

hi all, my colt opens great in the dark and looks great like it did in the store but in the day time it does not open all the wway, the lfs had mh about 18 to 24" off there tanks i have 6 54watt T5s on for 11hours, sometimes 1 arm of the colt opens for a little while then it switches to a nother arm through the day but not all at once like it is in the night, its about midway up in a 72 bow, all perameters are in check and my alk 12,cal 450, mag 1500, ph 8.3? my fish and other corals look fine GSPs, brown buttons is all i have for now tank is 16 weeks old tommorrow...

 

How high was the colt in the tank at the LFS? How long have you had it?

 

It is telling you it dont like the light. I would move it down a ways. I have my leathers on sand in 85g 30" deep. Thats with pc/ mh

i had it on the bottom for the first week and it did the same thing?

 

i would say too much hours of light
