Colt vs. Leather......What would be the difference?

Sorry it's taken me a while to get the pics straight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK here is my Finger(?)Colt(?) Leather(?)<,#1., Thingie... The coral after mine is classified as a, #2., Colt coral. The third pics is that of a, #3., Finger Leather. What's the difference, other than the name.....

#1 looks like lobophytum! Finger or Devil's hand coral!

 

Colt corals are have much more water in structure. Feel very slimy...

Many types of finger leather corals...sometimes they are sold as colts.

 

Mine was sold to me as a Finger, but Patrice is questioning whether it's a Finger or Colt. I'm really confused and just want to name it....Herbie...

Omard, I've never touched it. It came with the rock it's on. That's what I attribute to it's really good health.

a colt is a leather, lol. A super duper slimey leather...

All of those pics are colt corals. Colts act and look differently in different tanks cause of different lighting etc. There is also more then one kind of "Colt coral".

"Finger leather" refers to any branching leather. Which there are several different types of "finger leathers". Sinularia, Colts, Kenya Trees, Devils hand, etc.

I did for that and for the colt the pics 2 & 3 were random off the Internet..... yeah I realize fingers and colts come in all shapes and colors, but which exactly is mine? Finger Leather or Colt Coral or a combo of both of those that I just don't get?
