    i cycled my 55 with a pair of clowns, still going strong today and no bullying either (except the black clown nips my hand when I put it in the tank...)

    +1!!!!!!! There is no need to submit fish to a cycle. They are not necessary at all. Add a raw shrimp and walk away or just use one of the many bacteria starters on the market these days. Your tank will cycle, you won't have fish you don't want, and you won't kill any fish in the process.
