i think my clown needs a companion. is it ok to add another to the tank.
    is sex a variable?
how do i know the sex? (if it matters)
i think i read that you should not mix aquacultured and wild. (how will i know)
    and what breed is this.

i would say figure out what type of clown that is (sorry, i'm not quite sure about what type your clown is). just get the same type. clowns are hermaphrodites which means they change sexes. whichever one is more aggressive will become the female and the nonaggressive one will become the male. i would assume you could mix aquacultured and wild fish fairly easily because most of the fish at my lfs are wild caught and some are bred and raised. so basically in any aquarium you will have a mix. so just figure out what kind of clown it is and you are set. good luck

Yes, clowns are always better in pairs.
To me, it appears to be a true perc, but trues/false can pair with each other anyways.
If this one has been in the tank for a while, try to find one that is smaller.

I would say a True perc. To me the black is just to thick for it to be a false.

hay thanks again. and the pics are really a cheating situatiuation.
i set the ol' nikon to 13.0m and crop the hell out of the pic. (i guess the picture uncropped would be about the size of a poster.
