For anyone in the 20-50 gallon tank range - have you used either of the following two skimmers?

This looks too cheap to be true. It looks slightly different than the models on other websites. Is this a previous year's model? The 9002 has gotten some great reviews.

This is the other skimmer I am looking at . . . I have seen good reviews from this site on these skimmers as well.

This skimmer is going on a 20 gallon long with a 10 gallon sump and 5 gallon fuge.

Can anyone weigh in on these skimmers?

Or is there another better one in the $120 range that I have not yet considered?

    Thanks in advance for advice!!!

I should also add that I am looking for quiet operation as this is going in a bedroom.

That is a great price on a 9002. Normally they are $149. The pictures you see are the 9005 model. Looks like someone screwed that up...

The 9002 isn't the end all, but they seem to be a workhorse nano skimmer for many. IIRC they are sensitive to water level, so make sure it remains a constant depth.

We run an ASM G2 on one of our tanks at work. Pulls out some serious coffee. It is also about 4 years old I believe.

I love my SWC Extreme Cone 160. The smaller cone (120) would do well on your system.
