Hey, more space is better for the tang, even if its a small bit of space more

But honestly if someone had two separate kole tangs with one in my tank (48x15x17high) and the other in a 75g (48x18x20high) do you think there would be any difference in the fish's behavior or health?

maybe. more space, and the tang can swim more freely. less space, and the tang can get stressed way more easily

I was just saying that I don't think the extra 3in that a 75g tank offers would make any difference to the fish

This is the amount of extra height and width a 75g offers

    this is about 3in ^

I would too take a 75g if I had one haha, but I am trying to say that a kole tang will be fine in my tank

Ehh I dont think it'll do well but if you think so and can take care of it even if it gets too big then go for it, but that might defeat some other tankmates, such as the ocellaris clown pair IMO because tangs need so much damn space

No tang does well in a 4ft tank, tbh I have a hippo and yellow in my 3ft 32" tall tank that's just because I have alot of higher swimming space where there is litterly nothing. This is a pic of my tank
